Vacationed up to Fernie with a group of 6 and decided to do a day on the river. Tunnel 49 did an incredible job guiding us for the day. If you're lucky enough to have Jordan on the raft with your group, he was extremely knowledgable about the area/wildlife, and never once did we feel unsafe with him guiding our raft. Have to give credit to Josh for taking great pictures of our trip. Both Jordan and Josh were super easy to get along with and were a great addition to our group for the day. My husband and I chose Tunnel 49 for our first whitewater rafting experience, and we couldn’t recommend them more. We rode in the mammoth raft, which we feel was definitely worth the extra cost (the other “normal” raft didn’t seem to get nearly as much bounce and splash as ours). The crew for the day was Mark, Jamie, Josh, and Alisha, and they were all extremely professional but still a ton of fun. Jamie was in the mammoth raft with us, and was fantastic at calming my anxiety and accommodating my bad shoulder. The walk down to the put-in is steep and long, but we felt adequately prepared by the info on the website. The lunch was amazing, and exceeded expectations. We are now hooked on whitewater rafting and can’t wait to go again. A huge thank you to Tunnel49 and their most excellent team! Our family of four adults had the BEST DAY paddling the super fun waters of the gorgeous Elk River. Our guide Jordan went above and beyond to support us and make our experience extra special. His knowledge of the waters, and all the surrounding geology, flora and fauna was impressive.
